ANIMATOR & FILMAKER

Gerald Conn is an accomplished UK-based animator and filmmaker, known for his innovative use of sand animation.

He runs Gritty Realism Productions and has produced a wide range of short films winning a BAFTA for Best Animation for his work and nominated on four other occasions.

SureshERIYAT

Animator, DIRECTOR & FOUNDER OF STUDIO EEKSAURAS

Mr. Suresh Eriyat has been a pioneer of animation on Indian screens for nearly two decades. He founded Famous House of Animation after graduating from the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad in 1997, where he created some unforgettable animated ads, shorts, and music videos with many firsts.

In 2009, he co-founded Studio Eeksaurus with Nilima Eriyat.
Suresh’s filmography includes over 400 films, and he has received over 100 national and international awards, including the prestigious Annecy festival Cristal in 2015 for his film Fateline, a first for India. Tokri, Fisherwoman, and Tuk-Tuk, his in-house projects, have both won the National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Animation Film.

A seasoned and results-oriented executive, Elley Cheng boasts over 20 years of experience leading strategy, operations, and finance for companies bridging tech and design. In her role as President of Pantone, Elley heads up the company’s continued growth and innovation, overseeing its spectrum of brand management solutions, from strategic color consulting services, to brand partnerships, to digital and physical tools that power creativity, communication, and commercial success.
 
Elley’s expertise includes leadership roles at Shutterstock and Adobe, where she led key business units in eCommerce, drove inorganic growth strategies through acquisitions and partnerships, and developed market-winning products and content.  

Elley earned her MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California Berkeley.

ASHWINIDESHPANDE

co-Founder, elephant design studio

A 1989 graduate of NID (Ahmedabad, India) Ashwini is the co-founder of Elephant, India's largest independent integrated design consultancy with offices in India & Singapore.

Ashwini is part of the core group that steers the Design Alliance Asia consortium. She is also an active founding member of the Association of Designers of India.

Ashwini was invited by Rockefeller Foundation to participate in a global Social Impact summit and by Danish Design Foundation to partner with Copenhagen Co-creation Agenda. She has lectured across more than 20 countries including icograda Design week in Vancouver & Istanbul, Business of Design week in Hong Kong and International Design Congress at Mexico as well as in South Korea more recently.

Founder, art and charlie

Ayesha Parikh is the Founder at Art and Charlie. In 2019 Ayesha started Art and Charlie as a nomadic gallery that exhibited works of art in everyday spaces such as restaurants and cafes. In 2022 Art and Charlie started a thriving art gallery and culture space in the heart of Bandra, Mumbai, with a regular programme of over 10+ contemporary art exhibitions and 100+ culture-based events a year.

Art and Charlie has been named as one of the top galleries in the country by publications such as the Architectural Digest and selected as one of three top young galleries in the country for Art Mumbai 2024. As a gallery we represent 10 artists and have exhibited over 30 over the course of the past two years.

NAVDEEPKAUR

Founder & Creative Director, The Color Workshop

Navdeep Kaur is a creative designer and colour enthusiast with over 15 years of experience in colour research, trend research, strategy, and experimental textile art. She is an alumnus of the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad and is currently a visiting faculty there. She has been teaching Colour, Material, and Finish (CMF) and Visual Design modules to the students and has been an integral part of the course development.She has been a valued consultant for Asian Paints Ltd for ColourNext Trends since 2009. Her unique ability to assess upcoming visual trends and translate them into tangible colour experiences has enabled Asian Paints to stay at the forefront of design and colour trends. Her insightful knowledge and experience have been instrumental in helping the brand to evolve their trend process year on year. She is passionate about finding new colour expressions and creating a positive impact on the environment.

ANUJSHARMA

Fashion Designer & Founder of Button Masala Technique

Anuj Sharma is an Indian Fashion designer that works primarily in the areas of craft development and sustainability and teaches the subject of fashion and its sociology. He has showcased several collections in Japan, the UK, Sweden, and Bangladesh and was a regular at Lakme fashion week in Mumbai. He has created a unique method that allows one to construct clothes without any machines, tools or stitches, titled ‘Button Masala’.

He has given several talks on the button masala method, including at TED x Delhi and was later awarded the Most Innovative Collection of the Year Award of 2009 at Marie Claire Made in India Fashion Awards. Button Masala was recently selected as one of the 10 most sustainable projects in the open category by State of Fashion Holland and the work was consequently exhibited in Arnhem. In 2018 Levis India collaborated with Button masala to come out with a signature piece using its technique.
